The indoor hybrid sport that brings together the batting of baseball and the strategy of cricket — in any room, with any number of players.
When the world shut down in 2020, the Manabala Family turned their basement into a sports arena. Armed with a soft foam ball, a cricket bat, a baseball bat, and 20 feet of floor space, they invented CricBall.
The rules emerged over days of playing — safety zones, wall scoring, wickets and overs, choosing your own bat. Everything that makes CricBall work was discovered through play, not theory.
Fast, strategic, and playable in any rectangular space from 12 feet, CricBall is a sport that belongs to every family.
Get InvolvedBall is dead on first wall contact. Ceiling hits score the same as the floor zone directly below.
Choose your weapon every innings — baseball bat or cricket bat. Soft, lightweight indoor ball only (e.g. foam ball or tennis ball).
Any delivery style — underarm, sidearm, or overarm. Pitcher bowls from a fixed agreed spot.
Cricket-style. Each team bats once. Wickets = player count. Overs = 2× player count per side.
Three ways to lose your wicket:
Max 1 pitcher + 2 fielders on the field at any time.
Most runs after both innings wins. Tied? Super Over — 1 over, 1 wicket each. Still level? Sudden death single ball.
Every scenario covered — shorter fields, ceiling rules, odd player counts, and more. Sign up to get your copy.
Whether you want to try it with your family, organize a community game, or just get hold of the official rulebook — we'd love to hear from you.
Thanks for your interest in CricBall. We'll be in touch soon with everything you need to get playing.
